Create your first campaign

Think of a campaign as a single rule: "when this happens on that post, send this reply and this DM." You can run several at once (a GUIDE campaign on one Reel, a PRICE campaign on another post), and each is configured, launched, and paused on its own.

Every campaign carries the same core pieces: which posts to listen on, the trigger that matches a comment, the public reply that answers it, the DM that delivers the file, and whatever gates sit in front of the download. The wizard walks through them in that order.

For a regular posts-and-reels campaign, tap any number of posts in the grid: the campaign fires on a matching comment from any of them. A campaign that covers three posts shows "3 posts" wherever it's listed, and the wizard's edit view keeps every selected post when you come back to change something.

If you'd rather cover your whole account instead of picking specific posts, "All posts" scopes the campaign to every post and reel, now and any you publish later. That's useful for a lead magnet you mention often rather than tied to one launch post.

Story replies and live comments work differently on purpose. A story disappears in 24 hours and a live broadcast ends when it ends, so there's nothing stable to pre-select: those campaigns just watch every story reply, or every comment on any live broadcast, on the connected account.

Keyword matching is instant and free. "need the GUIDE pls" matches a GUIDE keyword because the check respects word boundaries and ignores case: a comment about a "guideline" wouldn't accidentally match. You can set several keywords on one campaign; any of them firing counts.

Smart matching adds an AI layer that only runs when every keyword check on the comment comes back empty. It reads the comment for genuine intent ("how do I get this?", "link pls 🙏") even without the exact word, and only fires above a fixed confidence threshold. Availability depends on which AI provider is currently active for the workspace; the wizard shows whether it's on.

Any comment skips keywords entirely: every comment on the selected posts triggers the reply and DM. It's built for "comment anything and I'll send it" posts, and works best scoped to a specific post rather than your whole account.

Both messages are ones you write in the wizard. The public reply is short (something like "Sent! Check your DMs 📩") and its only job is to show the thread was answered. Add a couple of alternate versions and ReplyMagnet cycles through them across comments, so ten people commenting the same keyword don't see ten identical replies underneath.

The DM is where delivery actually happens: your message plus a tracked link to the file (or, if a gate is on, a link to the capture page first). On a story reply there's no separate public-reply step: a story reply already opens a DM thread, so the match goes straight to the DM.

Drafting is the safe way to build something ahead of time: fill out the whole wizard, save as draft, and come back later. Nothing about a draft touches Instagram (no reply, no DM, no quota used) until you explicitly launch it.

Editing works the same for both: open any campaign, live or draft, and every field is prefilled exactly as it was saved. Changes to a live campaign take effect immediately once you save; changes to a draft just update the draft.

The moment a comment lands, ReplyMagnet checks it against every live campaign's trigger, in order, and the first match wins. If it matches, the public reply and DM go out right after: there's no queue or scheduled run in the normal case; delivery just depends on how quickly Instagram's own API responds.

One safeguard runs underneath all of this without you needing to think about it: the account's own comments (the replies ReplyMagnet itself posts) are never treated as new triggering comments. Without that, a public reply could match its own keyword and loop.
