Plans, quota, and billing

Four plans, one quota that resets monthly, and a trial that never asks for a card. Here's what each plan actually gets you and how billing behaves when you cross a limit.

What counts against quota

Quota is engagements sent: the DM that follows a match. The public reply itself is unmetered, so it never draws down your allowance. Monthly quotas: Starter 1,000, Basic 5,000, Pro 25,000, Agency 100,000.

Every plan carries a monthly engagement quota, and only one step in the funnel counts against it: the DM that delivers your lead magnet. The public reply posted under the triggering comment doesn't touch the quota at all; it's there so anyone scrolling past sees the thread was answered, and it's unlimited on every plan.

The quota itself scales with the plan: Starter gets 1,000 engagements a month, Basic 5,000, Pro 25,000, and Agency 100,000. It resets on a monthly cycle, and Settings always shows the current period's usage against the ceiling.

The free trial

Every new workspace gets a 30-day trial with Pro's features, no card required. The trial caps at 1,000 engagements a month, deliberately lower than Pro's real 25,000, so you can put every feature to a real test without needing to pay first.

Signing up starts the trial automatically; there's no separate "start trial" step and nothing to enter beyond an email. For 30 days the workspace behaves like Pro (up to 3 connected accounts, phone capture, webhooks, ESP sync, white-label pages, all unlocked) while the engagement volume stays capped at 1,000 a month rather than Pro's full 25,000.

That cap is intentional: it's high enough to run a real campaign and see real leads land, but low enough that an active workspace notices the ceiling well before the 30 days are up, which is the moment upgrading actually makes sense rather than being a countdown you're just waiting out.

When the trial ends

If you haven't picked a paid plan, the workspace moves to the free Starter plan automatically once the 30 days end. Nothing is deleted: campaigns, leads, and assets all stay exactly as they were, just running at Starter's 1,000-engagement quota and 1 connected account.

There's no hard cutoff where the product stops working. When the trial window closes without an upgrade, ReplyMagnet quietly downgrades the workspace to Starter, the same free plan a brand-new signup could choose on purpose. Live campaigns keep running; anything beyond Starter's limits (a 4th connected account, phone capture, webhooks) just stops being available until you upgrade again, rather than being removed.

Going over quota

A DM beyond the month's quota queues instead of being dropped, and sends automatically the moment quota frees up: either the monthly reset or an upgrade raising the ceiling mid-month. Commenters are never left half-served; queuing just adds a wait.

Hitting the ceiling doesn't pause campaigns or drop comments. The public reply still goes out as normal on every matching comment; only the DM that would follow it queues if quota is exhausted. Queued DMs release oldest-first, automatically, as soon as headroom exists: a new billing period opening back up, or an upgrade raising the quota right away. Settings shows how many DMs are currently queued at any moment.

Changing plans

Upgrading applies immediately with prorated billing, so a higher quota and any newly-unlocked features are available right away. Canceling keeps the current plan active until the billing period ends, rather than downgrading instantly. Paddle, as merchant of record, handles checkout and invoices.

An upgrade from the plan picker in Settings takes effect the moment you confirm it: the new quota, account limit, and feature set are live immediately, and Paddle prorates the charge for the rest of the current billing period rather than charging the full new price twice.

Canceling doesn't end anything on the spot: the workspace keeps its current plan's quota and features until the period you already paid for runs out, then moves to Starter the same way a trial does. Every charge, receipt, and invoice is handled by Paddle, ReplyMagnet's merchant of record; Paddle collects and remits tax as required, and their customer portal is where a saved card or payment method actually lives.

Feature availability by plan

CSV export unlocks at Basic. Email sync, phone capture, outbound webhooks, and white-label download pages are all Pro-and-above. Connected-account limits are 1 on Starter and Basic, 3 on Pro, and 10 on Agency.

Common questions

Does the free trial need a credit card?

No. Every new workspace gets 30 days of Pro's features automatically, no card required. If it ends without an upgrade, the workspace moves to the free Starter plan rather than being blocked.

What happens to leads and campaigns if I go over quota?

Nothing is lost. The public reply keeps going out on every matching comment; only the DM queues once quota is used up, and it sends automatically as soon as the next billing period opens or you upgrade.

Who actually processes the payment?

Paddle, as merchant of record: it runs checkout, stores payment methods in its own customer portal, and handles tax collection. ReplyMagnet never sees or stores your card details directly.
