A LinkDM alternative for Instagram comment-to-DM
LinkDM has been a Meta Business Partner since 2021 and genuinely undercuts ReplyMagnet on price for accounts and volume. Here's exactly what that price does and doesn't include.

What LinkDM does well
LinkDM has been a Meta Business Partner since 2021, and its Pro plan undercuts ReplyMagnet's Pro plan on price for a similar account count and volume.
LinkDM has carried Meta Business Partner status since 2021. Its own reported numbers, 50,000-plus users and 1.2 million-plus DMs sent a day, are large by the standards of this space, and they're stated directly on the homepage rather than buried in a help article.
That badge is a documented partner-program status, not a claim we're disputing. ReplyMagnet isn't in that program; instead its Instagram integration was reviewed directly, permission by permission, through Meta's own App Review process, approved August 2026. The two are different kinds of scrutiny, so we're stating what we have rather than arguing LinkDM's badge doesn't count.
Pro, its second tier, is priced at $19 a month for 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs a month: a lower headline number than ReplyMagnet's Pro at $29 for 3 accounts and 25,000 engagements, at the same account count and a comparable volume ceiling. Flow automation, universal triggers, a DM planner, reminder DMs, and Live automation round out the feature list at that tier.
Free exists too, at 1,000 DMs a month on a single account, though comment auto-reply itself, the core mechanic this whole comparison is about, is gated to Pro and up. Posts and reels auto-reply and story replies are included free; the keyword-comment part isn't.
How the two price models differ
LinkDM scales by a flat DM cap per plan tier rather than charging per contact or per engagement; crossing a tier's cap means upgrading the plan, not an automatic per-unit charge.
LinkDM doesn't publish a per-contact or per-message overage rate the way ManyChat does. Instead, each tier carries a flat monthly DM cap: 1,000 free, 25,000 on Pro at $19, and up to 300,000 on Platinum+ at $99, though LinkDM's own pricing page and homepage disagree on whether that top number is a total across all 10 accounts or 300,000 per account, a tenfold difference we can't resolve from the outside. LinkDM does document one fallback for a cap that's been crossed, an overflow queue, but only at that top Platinum+ tier; the next section covers what that means for every plan below it.
ReplyMagnet's engagement model works differently at that edge: cross the monthly allowance and the next comment queues rather than failing or requiring an immediate upgrade, then releases automatically once the next billing cycle opens or the plan changes. The dollar-per-unit comparison at a single point in time, $19 for 25,000 DMs against $29 for 25,000 engagements, favors LinkDM; what that price buys once you're at the edge of the plan is worth weighing alongside it.
What happens when you outgrow a DM cap
Overflow handling is the clearest split between the two: ReplyMagnet queues every plan's excess automatically, while LinkDM's own feature table lists the DM Overflow Queue as a Platinum-plus-only feature.
This is the clearest, most specific difference in LinkDM's own published feature table: a DM Overflow Queue exists, but only unlocks at Platinum+, $99 a month. Below that tier, on both Free and the far more commonly used Pro plan at $19, there's no queuing behavior described anywhere in LinkDM's material for a comment that lands after that month's DM cap is already spent.
ReplyMagnet ships the equivalent behavior on every plan, including the free Starter tier: a comment beyond the monthly allowance queues rather than failing, and releases oldest-first the moment headroom opens, whether that's a new billing cycle or an upgrade. It isn't a premium feature reserved for the top of the ladder; it's the same fallback at every price point, because a viral post doesn't check which plan you're on before it happens.
If overflow handling on a lower tier matters more to a given campaign than the price gap on Pro, that's a real, weighable difference, not a marketing point stretched thin.
Feature-by-feature table
The clearest gaps in LinkDM's published material are a documented follow check, AI matching, and webhooks; the clearest price gap runs the other way, favoring LinkDM on DMs and accounts per dollar.
Figures pulled from each plan's own published limits, not a sales call.
| LinkDM | ReplyMagnet | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry plan with comment auto-reply | Pro, $19/mo | Basic, $9/mo (or Starter, $0) |
| Free tier | Yes: 1,000 DMs/mo, 1 account, but comment auto-reply is Pro-only | Yes: Starter, 1,000 engagements/mo, comment-to-DM included |
| Billed per | DM volume tier: a flat monthly cap per plan | Engagement actually sent; overflow queues automatically |
| Accounts included | 3 on Pro ($19/mo), 10 on Platinum+ ($99/mo) | 3 on Pro ($29/mo), 10 on Agency ($79/mo) |
| Overflow queue | Platinum+ only ($99/mo); not documented below that tier | Every plan, including free Starter |
| Follow check | Not found in LinkDM's published docs | API-verified (is_user_follow_business); optional, and turning it on for a live campaign is a creator's own choice, not something ReplyMagnet pushes |
| AI / smart triggers | Not found in LinkDM's published docs | Every plan, 100 to 2,000 checks a day |
| ESP sync / webhooks | Kit and Flodesk; no webhooks or Zapier/Make found | Mailchimp or Kit sync plus outbound webhooks at Pro+ ($29/mo) |
When to choose LinkDM instead
Pick LinkDM when DM volume and account count per dollar is the deciding factor and a follow gate or AI matching isn't part of the requirement; its Pro plan runs three accounts for less.
Judged purely on the sticker price for accounts and volume, LinkDM's Pro tier wins: $19 a month for 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs against ReplyMagnet's Pro at $29 for 3 accounts and 25,000 engagements. That's a straightforward, defensible reason to pick it over us if those are the only two numbers that matter to a given business.
Its long run as a Meta Business Partner and its stated daily DM volume also suggest a mature, high-throughput operation, worth something if reliability at scale is the concern driving the decision, separate from any individual feature.
What that price doesn't include, as far as LinkDM's own published material shows, is a documented follow check, AI or smart-trigger matching, webhooks, or an overflow queue below its top $99 tier. If none of those matter for a given campaign, the price gap is real and LinkDM is the more direct fit.
Migrating
Your Instagram account and its comments live on Instagram's own API, not inside LinkDM, so a new ReplyMagnet campaign with the same keyword on the same post starts working the moment it launches.
Nothing about the account itself needs moving. Instagram's Graph API is where both tools connect, and the comments a post receives belong to that post, not to whichever automation happens to be watching it that week. Setting up the identical keyword in a new ReplyMagnet campaign and launching it is the entire technical step.
Running both at once briefly is possible, but worth avoiding rather than testing by accident: if the same keyword is active in both LinkDM and ReplyMagnet, whichever replies first wins that comment, and a duplicate reply under one comment looks worse than either tool alone. Turning off the LinkDM automation for that keyword right before launching the new campaign avoids the overlap entirely.
Whatever's stored in LinkDM today, contacts and DM history, stays there; exporting from LinkDM isn't something we can speak to, since it isn't our product. On our side, every comment a launched campaign answers from that point forward gets logged as its own lead, visible right away and downloadable as a CSV from Basic up.

Common questions
Does it cost more as my audience grows?
LinkDM doesn't publish a per-contact or per-DM overage rate; each plan carries a fixed monthly DM cap, and crossing it means upgrading tiers. ReplyMagnet's cost also tracks a monthly allowance, but a comment beyond it queues rather than requiring an immediate upgrade, and releases once headroom opens.
Can I keep my existing keywords?
Yes. A trigger keyword lives inside whichever tool's own campaign, so there's nothing to export: create the same keyword on the same post inside a ReplyMagnet campaign and it starts answering new comments right away.
Is the follow check verified?
On ReplyMagnet, yes, through Instagram's own is_user_follow_business field, a real API answer rather than a self-reported claim. We found no follow-gate feature documented anywhere in LinkDM's published material, so there's no verification method there to compare it against.
What happens to leads I already collected?
Whatever LinkDM has stored stays exactly where it is; exporting from LinkDM is outside what we can speak to, since it isn't our product. From the moment a ReplyMagnet campaign launches, every new comment becomes its own logged lead, visible immediately and downloadable as a CSV from Basic up.
Which is cheaper for three connected accounts?
LinkDM, at the sticker price: $19 a month on Pro against $29 a month on ReplyMagnet's Pro, both covering 3 accounts. What that $10 gap buys back on ReplyMagnet's side, an API-verified follow check, AI smart-trigger matching, and an overflow queue on every plan, is worth weighing against the price difference rather than treated as free.
